How to Remove and Install Car Stereo Removal

Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 1.1) Open glove box and remove two screws from along top edge.
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 2.1) Gently pry trim panel from across dash releasing clips and set to side.
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 3.1) Gently pry left side trim panel from dash releasing clips.
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 4.1) Place steering column in down position.
4.2) Remove hidden screw behind rubber boot next to steering column securing gauges trim panel.
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 5.1) Remove one screw from right side of trim panel.
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 6.1) Pull trim panel from dash releasing all clips
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 7.1) With fingers, push spring securing clips on both sides of car stereo inward toward car stereo and pull car stereo from dash.
Buick La Sabre Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement 8.1) This is the "Dock and Lock" system, car stereo releases from all connector when pulled from dash, disconnect antenna.

We discourage cutting the factory wire harness.

GM Wire Harness Diagram, Wire Color Codes and Pin Configuration Wire color codes and wire diagrams
IMPORTANT - There are two (2) yellow*, two (2) gray and two (2) brown wires in this harness. Locate the +12 volt constant wire first. Label it or splice to constant wire on aftermarket stereo first. Swapping yellow wires will cause damage to any aftermarket stereo. Check fuses if your unable to find +12 volts.
