Car Stereo Removal and Installation

Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 1.1) Remove panel releasing two clips.
Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 2.1) Remove one exposed.
Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 3.1) Remove panel releasing six clips.
Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 4.1) Remove two exposed screw.
Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 5.1) Turn AC vents to side to stop, then snap vent from pane.

*NOTE - Vents will have two different size snaps, top and bottom and can only be reinstalled one way.

Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 6.1) Remove four screws one in each vent cavity.
Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 7.1) Set parking brake.
7.2) Turn ignition to on position and shift to low gear.
7.3) Remove dash panel by releasing four clips along top edge.
Car Stereo Installation, Remove and Replace 8.1) Remove three screws securing car stereo to dash.
8.2) Pull stereo forward, release antenna and connector.

We discourage cutting the factory wire harness.

GM Wire Harness Diagram, Wire Color Codes and Pin Configuration Wire color codes and wire diagrams
IMPORTANT - There are two (2) yellow*, two (2) gray and two (2) brown wires in this harness. Locate the +12 volt constant wire first. Label it or splice to constant wire on aftermarket stereo first. Swapping yellow wires will cause damage to any aftermarket stereo. Check fuses if your unable to find +12 volts.
