They are Ford Car Stereo removal tools. 1.1) Insert "Din Tools" into slots till they lock into sides of car stereo. 1.2) Pull car stereo from dash. 2.1) Remove antenna and release triggers on connectors to disconnect. How to Install Aftermarket Car Stereo Ford Crown Victoria Aftermarket Car Stereo How to Install 1.1) There is no aftermarket kit needed for this install. However, you do need the Metra Wire Harness that includes the Amplifier Bypass Cable, Wire Harness number 70-5514. 2.1) Splice provide aftermarket car stereo wire harness together with Metra wire harness. Wire color codes in most cases match color for color. Saving the head ache of attempting to figure out the factory wire harness, cutting and splicing to factory harness. All extra wires should be caped off for protections from shorting out. 3.1) Remove metal sleeve from aftermarket car stereo by releasing clips and slide from car stereo. 4.1) Insert sleeve into dash car stereo opening. 5.1) With a flat head screw driver, bend tabs on sleeve to secure sleeve to dash. 6.1) Pull factory wire harness from cavity for access. 6.2) Connect car stereo wire harness with Metra wire harness to factory harness. 7.1) Connect aftermarket wire harness to car stereo and slide car stereo into sleeve. 8.1) Push car stereo into sleeve until it locks into place.
Crown Victoria Amp Removal and Bypass Installation Ford Crown Victoria Amplifier Bypass Cable and Installation 1.1) For better access, remove cover from spare tire. 2.1) Loosen nut securing spare tire. 3.1) Remove spare tire. 3.2) In some cases, pull panel down from back of rear seat for access to Premium Sound Amplifier. 4.1) Release triggers on connectors to remove from Premium Sound Amplifier. 5.1) Remove connectors, one from each side of amplifier. 6.1) Insert connectors removed from amplifier into Amplifier Bypass Cable. 6.2) Test operation of car stereo.
