How to Remove Speaker, Replacing and Installing 1.1) Remove top edge of triangular panel above door panel by releasing clip.
How to Install Speakers, Remove and Replace 2.1) Pull panel up, releasing two clips into door panel.
How to Remove Speaker, Replacing and Installing 3.1) Remove exposed screw.
How to Install Speakers, Remove and Replace 4.1) Pry front edge of control panel up releasing clip, pull up releasing rear tongue clip.
4.2) Disconnect connectors.

How to Remove Speaker, Replace and Install 1.1) Pry front edge of control panel up releasing clip, pull up releasing rear tongue clip.
1.2) Disconnect connector.

Dash Cluster Removal, Repair and Replacement 1.1) Gently pry above control panel in dash.
Cluster Replacement, Removal and Repair 2.1) Slide pry tool toward right to release one of two small triggers releasing control panel from dash.
Cluster Replacement, Removal and Repair 3.1) Shown, two triggers on panel.
Dash Cluster Removal, Repair and Replacement 4.1) When triggers are released toward right, small lock trigger on side of panel is released allowing left side of control to be removed first.

NOTE - Choose a clean work area. Placing the face of the gauges on a soft towel will help. Less of a chance of scratching the front panel.

Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 2.1) Lay dash gauge assembly on face and remove screw from cover.

Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 6.1) Release connector from PCB (Printed Circuit Board).
Ford Dash Repair, Removal and Replacement 7.1) Check all SMR (Surface Mount Resistors) for good connection. Removing solder and apply fresh solder to all large SMR's on PCB.
Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 8.1) Gently lift edge of PCB from gauges. This process will release front gauge connections from PCB.
Ford Dash Repair, Removal and Replacement 9.1) Work your way across middle of PCB lifting from gauges.
Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 10.1) Work your way across to end of PCB lifting from gauges. Then work around entire PCB.
Ford Dash Repair, Removal and Replacement 11.1) Remove PCB from gauges.
Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 12.1) Locate connector on PCB. Mating connector was removed in an earlier step.
Ford Dash Repair, Removal and Replacement 13.1) Turn PCB over and locate back side of connector.
Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 14.1) Flow new solder ALL connections for connector. Look for circles around center of solder joint, poor solder.

... We are missing several steps here. I'd suggest removing white plastic frame from gauge assembly. You want access to the connections for this connector. You can reach them from this small opening, but the end connections are difficult to reach. You may cause a solder bridge and not see it!
Removing Guages, Replacement and Install 15.1) When reinstalling, this small pen looking object is the odometer reset button. It will fall out of the gauges at some point and you will wonder what it is.
Ford Dash Repair, Removal and Replacement 16.1) With back plastic cover reinstalled, place odometer reset into opening before installing PCB.
