	How to Remove Car Stereo, Replace and Installation
	"Din Tools" Din Tools can be purchased at a local Auto Parts Store. They are Ford Car Stereo removal tools. Stereo Removal Tools
	1.1) Insert "Din tools" into holes on both sides of car radio. 1.2) Push tools slightly to the outside of the car stereo, this releases the lock mechanism, pushing them to the side of the car stereo.
	2.1) Pull car stereo forward from dash.
	3.1) Disconnect antenna and connectors from car stereo by releasing a trigger on connectors.

Ford Explorer Car Stereo Installation, Removal and Replacement
	Car Stereo Installation Metra Wire Harness 70-5514 No Kit
	1.1) See Ford Wire Harness and Aftermarket Wire Color Codes above.
	2.1) Release the locks from sides of Pioneer car stereo mounting sleeve.
	3.1) Slide the mounting sleeve from the Pioneer Car Stereo
	4.1) Slide mounting sleeve into original car stereo opening.
	5.1) Push mounting sleeve in till it stops. Being held in place by outside edges of sleeve.
	6.1) With a flat head screw driver, bent assortment of tabs in mounting sleeve to secure sleeve to opening.
	7.1) Bend tabs along bottom, sides and top of mounting sleeve
	8.1) Connect previous sliced connectors to factory wire harness and Pioneer car stereo. Plug antenna lead into Pioneer car stereo and slide car stereo into mounting sleeve till it locks into place. Now install the amplifier bypass cable.

	1.1) Remove three screws from door panel. One top leading edge of door, two at door handle.
	2.1) Unsnap trim panel from around door open handle.
	3.1) Pry window and door lock control panel loose from small slot at bottom.
	4.1) Remove door panel by beginning at bottom releasing nine clips. 4.2) Lift door panel up out of window jam and over door lock pin. 4.3) Feed window and door lock panel through panel opening.
	5.1) Release courtesy light with half twist.
	6.1) Remove four screws securing 5 x 7 inch speaker.

	1.1) Remove two screws.
	2.1) Unsnap trim panel from around door open handle.
	3.1) Remove door panel by beginning at bottom releasing clips. 3.2) Lift door panel up out of window jam and over door lock pin.
	4.1) Access to speaker is okay with wire harnesses attached to door panel. 4.2) Remove four screws securing 5 x 7 inch speaker.

	See Ford Wire Harness and Aftermarket Wire Color Codes above. 1.1) Remove six screws securing panel and remove.
	2.1) Remove two screws on side panel. 2.2) Remove all pins along side panel. (These pins are brittle with age and will break)
	3.1) Pull edge of carpet back, remove two screws.
	4.1) Pull edge of carpet back along side of tire well and remove one screw.
	5.1) Remove two screws from panel along rear door.
	6.1) Remove two screws, one located under seat belt plastic cover and second in hook.
	7.1) Lay side panel down for access to amplifier, this is tricky along edge of rear seat.
	8.1) Remove connectors from amplifier, install amplifier bypass cable for aftermarket car stereo installation or remove mounting screws for amplifier and replace/remove.
