Infiniti G20 How to Remove and Install Car Radio

Infiniti G20 Radio Replacement, Removal and Installation 1.1) Remove two screws from trim panel.

2.2) Pull car stereo forward, release antenna and connectors.

Removing Infiniti G20 Front Speaker and Replacing

G20 Speaker Replacement, Removal and Installation 1.1) Remove three screws along bottom edge of door panel.
G20 Speaker Replacement, Removal and Installation 2.1) Gently pry cover from two screws along front edge of door panel and remove screws.
G20 Speaker Replacement, Removal and Installation 3.1) Gently pry cover from screw along back edge of door panel and remove screw.
G20 Speaker Replacement, Removal and Installation 4.1) Gently pry window control from cavity.
4.2) Remove exposed screw in cavity.
4.3) Gently pry trim ring from door open / door lock assembly and remove.
G20 Speaker Replacement, Removal and Installation 5.1) From bottom of door panel, insert hand and work you way up both sides of panel releasing clips.
5.2) Insert fingers into door open / lock cavity grasping door panel.
5.3) Door panel lifts straight up out of window jam and to release hook from inside door, while holding panel at door open cavity away from controls to clear over.
G20 Speaker Replacement, Removal and Installation 6.1) Reach behind panel and release window control connector on door.
6.2) Remove screws securing speaker, remove and disconnect.
*NOTE - Installation of door panel may be difficult, be sure hook mounts into door along with setting into window jam while clearing door open / lock assemblies.
*Note - Front speakers usually sound distorted with bass. These are Clarion 4" X 6" - 2 or 4 ohm speakers. Look for deteriorated or cracked foam surround. Local speaker repair shops can re-foam the 2 ohm speakers, for 4 ohm speakers we suggest replacement. Factory price new $75 each.

Removing Infiniti G20 Rear Speaker and Replacing

Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 1.1) Pull two tabs, one at center of each rear seat at edge of carpet.
1.2) While pulling tabs, lift edge of rear bottom seat cushion up.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 2.1) Feed seat belts and straps through opening in rear bottom seat cushion.
2.2) Remove rear seat bottom cushion.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 3.1) Remove two screws, one each at bottom corner of rear seat back.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 4.1) Pull armrest down.
4.2) Remove inner panel from cavity.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 5.1) Remove two exposed screws securing seat back.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 6.1) Lift back seat cushion straight up to release three latches from hooks.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 7.1) Release four panel tabs from along edge of rear deck panel.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 8.1) Release third brake light by pulling passenger side of light away from rear window first.
8.2) release right hook, turn assembly over and release connector.
8.3) Remove third brake light.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 9.1) Remove three panel tabs from center of rear deck.
9.2) Begin lifting rear deck panel up from center releasing clips.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 10.1) Pull panel up from third brake light cavity to remove over brake light bracket while pulling toward front of car.
Replacing Speakers, Installation and Removal for G20 11.1) Remove four screws securing rear speakers to deck.
11.2) Lift speaker and disconnect connector.
*Note - Rear speakers usually sound distorted with bass. These are Clarion 6 1/2" - 2 ohm speakers. Look for deteriorated or cracked foam surround. Local speaker repair shops can re-foam for less than replacement. Factory new $75 each.

1) Remove defective amplifier, front speaker amplifier on left, rear speaker amplifier on right.
2) Remove screws from sides of amplifier.
3) Release trigger on connector to remove.
