How to Replace GMC Sierra and Yukon Manual Antenna and Cable |

1.1) For installation of new antenna mast only, see steps 11 and 12. 1.2) Open glove box. |

2.1) Pull right side of glove box toward center of glove box. This will allow glove box stop to pass dash and release toward floor. | ||
3.1) Locate wire bundle in open on right side. | ||
4.1) Antenna coax cable may be taped into bundle, release cable and connector from bundle. | ||
5.1) Disconnect antenna cable at connector. | ||
6.1) At antenna mast, pry edge of small trim panel surrounding antenna mast releasing clip. All clips release with pry pressure. | ||
7.1) Continue prying across top of trim panel releasing clips. | ||
8.1) Pry edge of trim panel releasing clip. | ||
9.1) Lift trim panel from vehicle. | ||
10.1) Remove trim panel over antenna mast. | ||
11.1) With small wrench, loosen antenna mast. | ||
12.1) Unscrew antenna mast to remove. | ||
13.1) Use socket wrench to remove three mounting screws on antenna mast base. | ||
14.1) Lift hood of vehicle and locate antenna bass and coax cable. | ||
15.1) Reach into side opening along fender and pull coax cable from vehicle through rubber gromet. |
