board with connectors and set to side.

enclosed in housing.
1) Amplifiers labeled for
which speaker they control.
1) Remove four screws securing
each amplifier and remove amplifier when troubleshooting. See steps below.
Troubleshooting Bose Amplifier
Mark or label amplifiers before removing from housing. This will aid in
troubleshooting and not mixing amplifiers. There are two different types
of Bose amplifiers in this enclosure. Front and rear amplifiers are
equalized differently. Front amplifiers (2) control more mids and highs
while rear amplifiers (2) control more mids and bass.
You should have already troubleshoot the
speaker locations to determine which speaker location has snap, crackle,
pop or high pitch squeal. Swap Bose amplifiers in housing. Reassemble,
reconnect in car for testing.
If the problem has followed the amplifier
to a new location, this is an amplifier problem.
If the problem continues to remain in the
same location
This is a stereo problem
Or, speakers
may need another look.
In many cases, with older Bose amplifiers,
it is very likely if one amplifier is experiencing problems at this time,
the others are not too far behind.

Amplifier Removal For Acura Legend LS and GS ONLY
1.1) Open both rear passenger doors.
1.2) Look to the front of the rear seat near the floor. There are two tabs, each centered
where passenger sits. Pull the tab toward the front seat while lifting the seat up. Loosen
each side, then lift front of bottom seat up releasing hooks from rear of seat and remove
from car.
2.1) Along the bottom of the back seat there
are four 10mm bolts, remove them. *NOTE
(Two door only)
2.2) The center two bolt, look closely, have two bolts above them, remove top bolts. *NOTE (Four door only)
2.2) Remove both head rests. Look closely at exposed slot in the
material. With 10mm socket and extension, find bolt in the slot and remove.
3.1) To remove the back seat it must be
lifted straight up. There are three hooks that hold it in place at the top. I have sometimes found
releasing two is easy. If you have difficulty on the third push the seat back into place
and begin again at the tuff side. Remove the back seat from the car.
4.1) Remove the amplifier, it is bolted in
with three 10mm bolts, along with three connectors, one white, and two brown. Press the
triggers on the connectors and release.

DO NOT CUT FACTORY WIRE HARNESS
Aftermarket stereo installation?
Why purchase the aftermarket wire harness? Installation is easier, no guess work with wire color codes and a Headache Saver!Factory wire colors codes are not universal. See Aftermarket Videos above.
We discourage cutting the factory wire harness.
This section aids in troubleshooting and determining wire color codes, phasing for speaker hook up, locating power wires for installing external devices and add-ons.
