BMW Speaker Removal, Replacement, Hook Up and Install How to Remove and Replace Front Door Speaker 1.1) Gently pry screw cover from door open handle cavity. 2.1) Remove exposed Torx screw. 3.1) Remove Torx screw at end of arm rest. 4.1) Remove Torx screw at middle of arm rest. 5.1) Remove Torx screw at leading edge of arm rest. 6.1) Gently pry "AIR BAG" logo from door panel. 7.1) Remove exposed Torx screw in cavity. 8.1) Gently pry top edge of triangular panel on leading edge of door panel to release. 9.1) Lift panel straight up, this releases second clip. 10.1) Remove panel and set to side. 11.1) Gently pry bottom of door panel from door. 12.1) Work your way across bottom of panel and up each side. 13.1) Pull leading edge of door panel from door releasing clips. 14.1) Swing leading edge of panel to release all clips then up over door lock pin. 15.1) Reach behind panel, release connector at upper speakers. Driver's Side Only 16.1) Place your finger in cavity on door panel a side mirror control. 16.2) Push side mirror control up out of cavity. (You can pry control from outside door panel, but this may scratch or nick the panel. 17.1) Gently place door panel back on door. 17.2) Pull mirror control from cavity. 18.1) Release trigger on mirror control and set to side. 19.1) When reinstalling door panel, be sure to feed this connector back through door panel opening. 20.1) Remove door panel from door again. 20.2) Lift small latch closest to door panel at door open handle cable. 21.1) Swing back edge of assembly up and away from door panel. 22.1) Lift cable assembly from door panel. 23.1) Lower top edge of door panel for access to lower speaker. 24.1) Release connector at lower speaker. 24.2) Remove door panel. 25.1) Check door panel for clips. Clips may have dropped to the ground or remain on the door. Pry remaining clips from door and place onto door panel. 26.1) Remove Torx screws securing speaker to door panel.
BMW Speaker Removal, Replacement, Hook Up and Install How to Remove Rear Side Tweeter 1.1) Remove two Torx screws under arm rest. 2.1) Grasp leading edge of rear seat bottom cushion. 3.1) Pull cushion up to release clip. There are two clips along leading edge of cushion. One each at center of rear passenger seats. 4.1) Lift entire front edge or rear seat cushion to release hook on rear of cushion. 4.2) Remove rear bottom seat cushion and set to side. 5.1) Lower rear seat backs. 5.2) Pull up on outer side cushion and away from back of seat to release clips. 6.1) Remove rear side cushions and set to side. 7.1) Start at leading edge of door jam, pry side panel up to release clips. 8.1) Work your way down panel toward rear seat. 8.2) Hinge panel up, to release last clip pry panel away from side of car. 9.1) Check panel and door jam for clips. Pry clips from door jam. 10.1) Slide clips into mount. Note - These clips slide, when installing panel be sure clips mate to openings before snapping into place. 11.1) Pull side weather stripping from door jam freeing side panel with speaker. 12.1) Grasp side panel. 13.1) Pull side panel from car releasing all clips. 14.1) Release connector at speaker. 15.1) Unscrew entire speaker from side panel. 16.1) Remove speaker.
BMW Speaker Removal, Replacement, Hook Up and Install How to Remove Rear Deck Speaker 1.1) Gently pry plastic cover from child seat restraint hook. 2.1) Remove cover and set to side. 3.1) Remove bolt securing hook. 4.1) Remove spacer from opening. 5.1) Gently pry speaker grill from rear deck and remove. 6.1) Remove gasket from under speaker grill. 7.1) Remove screws securing speaker to rear deck. 7.2) Remove speaker.
