Buick Rendezvous Car Stereo Removal
and Replacement |
|
1.1) Set Parking Brake.
Shift to low gear.
1.2)Driver's side, below dash, remove screw along bottom of front knee
panel. |

2.1) Remove second screw along
bottom edge of bottom front knee panel. |
|
3.1) Pry edge of bottom panel from dash releasing clips.
All clips release with pry pressure. |
|
4.1) Right side of steering column, pry edge of bottom
panel from dash to release clips. |
|
5.1) Release all clips on panel. |
|
6.1) Allow panel to rest on floor. |
|
7.1) Adjust steering column to full down position,
7.2) Left side of steering column, remove one steering column mounting
bolt. |
|
8.1) Right side of steering column, remove second mounting
bolt.
Note - Dropping steering column will provide
several additional inches clearance in later steps. This will also aid in
the dash removal without tearing the gear shift boot. |

9.1) Left side of steering column, pry edge of "Driver
Information Center" panel from dash releasing clip. |
|
10.1) Pry edge of panel releasing remaining clips. |
|
11.1) Remove panel from dash, release trigger on connector
to disconnect. |
|
12.1) Remove panel and set to side. |
|
13.1) Pull edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
14.1) Work around edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
15.1) Work along top edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
16.1) Work along top edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
17.1) Work along side edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
18.1) Work along side edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
19.1) Pull remaining edge of dash panel releasing clips. |
|
20.1) Pull top edge of panel from gauges releasing from
dash.
20.2) Lift panel up to remove.
Note - Be careful
at gear shift boot, guide edge of panel around boot to keep from tearing.
During reinstallation, watch clearance of dash panel at gear shift boot. |

21.1) Remove panel and set to side. |
|
22.1) Remove two mounting screws left side of car stereo. |
|
23.1) Remove one mounting screw right side of car stereo. |
|
24.1) Pull car stereo from dash. |
|
25.1) Pull antenna connector from stereo to remove. |
|
26.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and
remove. |
|
27.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and
remove. |
|
28.1) Remove car stereo. |
|
29.1) When reinstalling front knee panel, lower panel
opening aligns with peg to secure. |
