Buick Rendezvous How to Remove and Install Car Stereo
Buick Rendezvous Car Stereo Removal and Replacement 1.1) Set Parking Brake. Shift to low gear. 1.2)Driver's side, below dash, remove screw along bottom of front knee panel. 2.1) Remove second screw along bottom edge of bottom front knee panel. 3.1) Pry edge of bottom panel from dash releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure. 4.1) Right side of steering column, pry edge of bottom panel from dash to release clips. 5.1) Release all clips on panel. 6.1) Allow panel to rest on floor. 7.1) Adjust steering column to full down position, 7.2) Left side of steering column, remove one steering column mounting bolt. 8.1) Right side of steering column, remove second mounting bolt. Note - Dropping steering column will provide several additional inches clearance in later steps. This will also aid in the dash removal without tearing the gear shift boot. 9.1) Left side of steering column, pry edge of "Driver Information Center" panel from dash releasing clip. 10.1) Pry edge of panel releasing remaining clips. 11.1) Remove panel from dash, release trigger on connector to disconnect. 12.1) Remove panel and set to side. 13.1) Pull edge of dash panel releasing clips. 14.1) Work around edge of dash panel releasing clips. 15.1) Work along top edge of dash panel releasing clips. 16.1) Work along top edge of dash panel releasing clips. 17.1) Work along side edge of dash panel releasing clips. 18.1) Work along side edge of dash panel releasing clips. 19.1) Pull remaining edge of dash panel releasing clips. 20.1) Pull top edge of panel from gauges releasing from dash. 20.2) Lift panel up to remove. Note - Be careful at gear shift boot, guide edge of panel around boot to keep from tearing. During reinstallation, watch clearance of dash panel at gear shift boot. 21.1) Remove panel and set to side. 22.1) Remove two mounting screws left side of car stereo. 23.1) Remove one mounting screw right side of car stereo. 24.1) Pull car stereo from dash. 25.1) Pull antenna connector from stereo to remove. 26.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove. 27.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove. 28.1) Remove car stereo. 29.1) When reinstalling front knee panel, lower panel opening aligns with peg to secure.

DIY Buick Rendevous How to Replace Gear Shift Boot Do It Yourself Buick Rendevous How to Replace Gear Shift Boot 1.1) Under steering column, remove one screw. 2.1) Remove second screw. 3.1) Under left side of steering column. 4.1) Locate latch for small cover. 5.1) Release latch on cover and remove. 6.1) Release front edge of bottom cover. 7.1) With front edge released, push right side of cover toward front of vehicle to release hook on lower panel from upper panel. 8.1) With front edge released, push left side of cover toward front of vehicle to release hook on lower panel from upper panel. Remove bottom cover and set to side. 9.1) Push gear shift boot down shaft for access to screw. 9.2) Remove Torx screw securing gear to steering column. 10.1) Grasp gear shift. 11.1) Remove gear shift. 12.1) Remove gear shift boot. 13.1) Note side contour of gear shift boot for direction of proper installation of new gear shift boot. 14.1) Place boot into position. 15.1) Push gear shift boot down shaft for access to screw opening. 15.2) Install Torx screw securing gear to steering column. 16.1) Install bottom cover and secure. 17.1) When removing dash panel around gauges, use caution, do not rip gear shift boot.

Diagrams may not be applicable to Bose Audio Systems     IMPORTANT - There are two (2) yellow*, two (2) gray and two (2) brown wires in this harness. Locate the +12 volt constant wire first. Label it or splice to constant wire on aftermarket stereo first. Swapping yellow wires will cause damage to any aftermarket stereo.
