Buick Riviera Car Stereo Removal and Replacement |

1.1) Along top of dash panel
under top dash, are mounting clips. See "Anchor Clips" below. |

2.1) Push center tab on anchor
clip in to release. |
|
3.1) Remove anchor tab from
panel. |
|
4.1) Repeat this process for
next tab along top of dash panel. |
|
5.1) Repeat this process for all
tabs along top of dash panel. |
|
6.1) Push up slightly on upper
dash panel while pulling down on lower panel. |
|
7.1) Release lower panel across
dash. |
|
8.1) Remove panel from dash and
set to side. |
|
9.1) Open glove box, this will
allow access to a screw securing side panel, remove screw. |
|
10.1) Remove side panel. |
|
11.1) Remove one exposed screw
from panel removal. |
|
12.1) Remove screw along top of
dash panel exposed from removing upper panel earlier. |
|
13.1) Remove all screws along top
of dash panel. |
|
14.1) Pull side panel from dash. |
|
15.1) Remove exposed screw from
side panel removal. |
|
16.1) Starting at corner, gently
pull from dash releasing clips. |
|
17.1) Release bottom edge of dash
panel across entire dash. |
|
18.1) Lift upper dash panel up
across dash while pulling lower dash panel forward. The wood grain panel
has mounting latches that are behind the latches from the upper panel. |
|
19.1) Release the lower wood
grain dash panel across entire dash. |
|
20.1) Pull bottom edge of panel
away from dash first, do not remove. |
|
21.1) To left of steering column,
reach behind panel, release trigger on connector and disconnect. |
|
22.1) To right of steering
column, reach behind panel, release trigger on connector and disconnect. |
|
23.1) Move entire dash panel to
right to remove from steering column and remove panel. |
|
24.1) Remove screws securing car
stereo to dash and pull from dash. |
|
25.1) Reach behind car stereo,
remove antenna and release trigger on connector to disconnect. |

(Left to right)
26.1) Center tab pushed in for removal.
26.2) Center tab pushed back for mounting.
26.3) Center tab flush, when installed. |
