Chevrolet Tracker How to Remove and Replace Rear Speakers |
|
1.1) Open rear door.
1.2) Along bottom of door jam, gently pry plastic cover from tie down. |
|
2.1) Pull plastic cover toward
back of car to release and remove. |
|
3.1) Remove bolt from tie down. |
|
4.1) Repeat removal for
remaining two tie downs. |
|
5.1) Gently pry panel from
vehicle releasing clips. All clips release with pressure. |
|
6.1) Open rear door.
6.2) Along inside of bottom door jam, turn plastic screw 1/4 turn. This
should release center screw. In some cases, you may have to hold the
outside frame to keep from twisting while attempting to release screw. |

7.1) Grasp plastic screw and
frame. |
|
8.1) Pull plastic screw and
frame from panel. |
|
9.1) To reinstall screw and
frame, remove screw from frame, place frame back into opening, push screw
flush with frame to secure. |
|
10.1) Repeat removal for second
screw and frame along door jam. |
|
11.1) Repeat removal for third
screw and frame going up back of door jam. |
|
12.1) Gently pry door jam panel
from vehicle releasing clips. |
|
13.1) Unlatch door jam panel from
rear side panel. Set panel to side. |
|
14.1) Along back edge of side
panel from back door opening, gently pry top edge of panel from vehicle
releasing clips. |
|
15.1) Along back edge of side
panel from back door opening, gently pry bottom edge of panel from vehicle
releasing clips. |
|
16.1) Work your way across top of
side panel releasing all clips. |
|
17.1) Lift back edge of side
panel up, this will release leading edge from back door jam. |
|
18.1) Lift front edge of side
panel up to release. |
|
19.1) Pull side panel back, feed
side seat belt around panel to release, remove panel and set to side. |
|
20.1) Check side of vehicle to
see if all panel pins removed with door panel. |
|
21.1) Pry panel pins from side of
vehicle. |
|
22.1) Install panel pins onto
door panel, ready for installation. |
|
23.1) Remove screws securing
speaker and remove. |
