Chrysler Cirrus Car Stereo Speaker Removal and Installation Chrysler Cirrus '95-00 How to Remove and Install Front Door Panel Speaker      1.1) Gently pry bottom edge of car speaker grill from door panel.     2.1) Pull speaker grill cover from door, hinge from top of speaker grill.     3.1) Pull top of speaker grill down to release two tabs from slots and remove speaker grill.     4.1) Remove screws securing car speaker to door panel.     Aftermarket Speaker Installation Tips
1.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect speaker. Aftermarket Speaker Installation 2.1) Pry speaker taps up to release hooks at each mount on speaker and spacer. 3.1) Remove speaker from spacer. This is a 6 3/4 speaker. 4.1) To install a 6 1/2 inch speaker, Metra speaker ring kit 82-6600 is needed. 5.1) Remove two tabs from speaker ring that do not mate to pattern from original spacer ring. 6.1) Mate speaker ring to spacer ring. 7.1) Snap into place. 8.1) Mount 6 1/2 inch speaker to speaker ring. How to determine speaker polarity. Polarity is important! One speaker not hooked up with the proper polarity will cause loss of bass. This can be determined by turning the bass all the way up and volume to a moderate level. Fade front or rear to start, then balance left to right. If you hear bass in one speaker, then it disappears at center detent on the balance control, only to come back when one speaker is playing, speakers are out of phase. 9.1) Cut factory speaker lead. There is a trick to this! Cut approximately two inches from connector but not too long where you will have to fight with short speaker wires when installing speaker. 10.1) Remove any extra insulation from wires without cutting speaker wires. 11.1) Removed insulation, with two wires. 12.1) Strip 3/8 of insulation from each wire. 13.1) Two wires from door with stripped insulation. 14.1) Strip wires on connector cut from above step. 15.1) Connect to factory speaker. 16.1) Remove dust cover from front of speaker. 1) With a battery AAA to D cell, connect each striped speaker lead to opposite ends of battery. Watch the center cone jump. Turn battery around to the position that causes the speaker cone to jump in the direction of the shown arrow, away from the speaker magnet. The wire connected to the + side of the battery is the + speaker lead. Check the color of this wire. Use this same colored wire at the door to connect your new speaker. 17.1) Check wires at door for polarity. Most aftermarket speakers supply a set of wires. Check the aftermarket speakers, they are usually labeled near the connector for polarity. 18.1) Splice you aftermarket speaker wires to corresponding factory wire and connect speakers. 19.1) Mount speaker, speaker ring and spacer to door with original screws.
Chrysler Cirrus Front Dash Speaker Removal and Replacement Chrysler Cirrus Front Dash Speaker Removal 1.1) Passenger's side of door opening, grasp weather striping at top edge of door opening. 2.1) Pull weather stripping down to release. 3.1) Pull weather stripping down toward front of vehicle past side pillar panel. 4.1) Pry top edge of side pillar panel from vehicle, releasing clips. All clips release with pressure. 5.1) Pry down edge of side pillar panel releasing all clips. 6.1) Pull panel from side of vehicle checking for released clips. 7.1) Pull bottom edge of panel straight up to release "Tongue and Groove". 8.1) "Tongue and Groove" - tongue at bottom side pillar panel fits groove at front dash panel. 9.1) Pry top edge of side dash panel releasing clip. 10.1) Pull side dash panel back releasing all clips. 11.1) Remove panel and set to side. 12.1) Remove exposed screw at end of dash from side panel removal. 13.1) Driver's side of door opening, grasp weather striping at top edge of door opening. 14.1) Pull weather stripping down to release. 15.1) Pull weather stripping down toward front of vehicle past side pillar panel. 16.1) Pry top edge of side pillar panel from vehicle, releasing clips. All clips release with pressure. 17.1) Pry down edge of side pillar panel releasing all clips. 18.1) Pull panel from side of vehicle checking for released clips. 19.1) Pull bottom edge of panel straight up to release "Tongue and Groove". 20.1) Pry back edge of front dash panel releasing clips. 21.1) Pry across back edge of front dash panel releasing clips. 22.1) Pry back edge of front dash panel to opposite end. 23.1) Lift back edge of front dash panel up. 24.1) Lift entire back edge of front dash panel up. 25.1) Pull front dash panel back from windshield releasing remaining front panel clips. 26.1) Check stripping on front edge of front dash panel. Stripping may remain on front dash. 27.1) Place stripping onto front edge of front dash panel ready for reinstallation. 28.1) Remove first screw securing speaker to dash. 29.1) Remove second screw securing speaker to dash. 30.1) Lift speaker up out of dash. 31.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect and remove. Note - Do not release connector to speaker, this connector may fall back into speaker opening and have to be fished out. 32.1) Front dash panel, front clips face forward. 33.1) When reinstalling front dash panel align forward facing clips to slots at front of dash. Push front edge of panel in to seat clips, then down to seat rear clips. 34.1) Push weather stripping back onto frame of vehicle to seat.
