Chrysler PT Cruiser Front Speaker Removal and Install Chrysler PT Cruiser Car Stereo Front Speaker Removal and Install 1.1) Remove one screw from bottom leading edge of door panel. 2.1) Remove one screw from bottom rear edge of door panel. 3.1) Remove one screw from front top leading edge of door panel 4.1) Remove one screw from door open handle cavity. 5.1) Gently pull top edge of triangular trim panel from dash releasing clips. 6.1) With clips released, remove panel. 7.1) Remove two torx screws from under arm rest. 8.1) Gently pull door panel from door starting at bottom of door. 9.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam, allow door lock to pass through door panel opening. Lift front edge of door panel from window jam. 10.1) Pull door panel away from door. Release door handle linkage 10.2) Twist YELLOW lock from linkage. 11.1) Remove door handle linkage from slot to release. 12.1) From behind panel, at front edge release trigger on connector and remove connector. 12.2) Remove door panel. 13.1) Remove three screws securing car stereo speaker to door. 14.1) Cut speaker wires. 15.1) Splice speaker wires provided with purchased speakers to cut speaker wires. Car Stereo Speaker Wire Polarity Hook Up Front Left Speaker Front Right Speaker Brown w/Blue Stripe + Brown w/Blue Stripe + Green w/Purple Stripe - Green w/Purple Stripe -     Pioneer's 6 3/4 inch speaker mounts to opening perfectly. We installed Pioneer's 6 1/2 inch speaker. You will have to use self-tapping screws to mount either size speaker because mounting bolt pattern for aftermarket speakers to not mate to original pattern.
Chrysler PT Cruiser Rear Speaker Removal and Install Chrysler PT Cruiser Front Speaker Removal and Installation 1.1) Reach around to side of panel at side window. 2.1) Pull edge of panel toward center of car to release. 2.2) Remove panel. 3.1) Remove four screws securing side 5 x 7 inch speaker. 3.2) Cut speaker wires. 3.3) Splice speaker wires provided with purchased speakers to cut speaker wires. Car Stereo Speaker Wire Polarity Hook Up Rear Left Speaker Rear Right Speaker Brown w/Yellow Stripe + Blue w/White Stripe + Brown w/Blue Stripe - Blue w/Black Stripe -     1) Connect Pioneer's 6 x 8 inch speaker. The 5 x 7 and 6 x 8 inch speakers are the same size. 2) Install speaker and install side panel. Be sure side weather stripping covers edge of panel.
