Chrysler PT Cruiser Convertible Front Door Panel Speaker Removal Front Door Speaker Removal 1.1) ROLL WINDOW DOWN! 1.2) Remove one screw for door handle cavity. 2.1) Gently pry top edge of small panel from door releasing clip. All clips release with pressure. 3.1) Release both clips from small panel, remove panel and set to side. 4.1) Remove screw from leading bottom edge of arm rest. 5.1) Remove second screw from bottom of arm rest. 6.1) Gently pry rear bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips. 7.1) Work your way forward along bottom edge of door panel releasing clips. 8.1) Work your way up front and back edges of door panel releasing clips. 9.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam and over door lock pin. 10.1) Lift front edge of door panel out of window jam. 11.1) Lock door panel pins along bottom of door panel back into door. This will help support door panel for following steps when working on opposite side of door. 12.1) Locate door handle linkage and follow up to door handle 13.1) Twist door handle linkage plastic lock arm from linkage. 14.1) Lift door handle linkage from small hole to release from door handle. 15.1) At leading edge of door panel, locate wires connected to door lock switch. 16.1) Release trigger up on connector to release and disconnect. 16.2) Remove door panel. 17.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips. 18.1) Pry door panel clips from door. 19.1) Install door panel clip back onto door panel ready for reinstallation. 20.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door and remove. NOTE - for determining aftermarket installation polarity of speaker wires for correct hook up see Speaker Phasing above.
