Removing, Replacing and Installing
Rear Side Speaker |
|
1.1) Below rear window, gently
pry edge of trim panel along back of vehicle releasing clips. All clips
release with pressure. |
|
2.1) Work down edge of rear
trim panel releasing clips. |
|
3.1) Remove rear trim panel
and set to side. |
|
4.1) Check area where panel
was removed for any remaining panel clips. |
|
5.1) Pry panel clips from
vehicle to remove. |
|
6.1) Place clips into slots on
panel ready for reinstallation. |
|
7.1) Open door, pry back edge
of lower door jam panel from vehicle releasing clips. |
|
8.1) Work forward on edge of
panel releasing clips. |
|
9.1) Remove door jam panel and
set to side. |
|
10.1) At front seat belt
restraint, gently pry at bottom of cover to release. |
|
11.1) Lift seat belt restraint
cover up to unlock. |
|
12.1) Remove cover and set to
side. |
|
13.1) Remove Torx T-50 bolt
from seat belt restraint. |
|
14.1) Set seat belt restraint
to floor. |
|
15.1) Along back edge of
panel, remove one upper screw exposed from rear panel removal. |
|
16.1) Along back edge of
panel, remove one lower screw exposed from rear panel removal. |
|
17.1) Open side window, this
will move window handle out of the way for later steps in removal. |
|
18.1) Along back top edge of
upholstered panel, remove one exposed screw from rear panel removal. |
|
19.1) Along back top edge of
upholstered panel, remove remaining exposed screw from rear panel removal. |
|
20.1) With screws removed,
lift rear panel up to unlock strap from back of vehicle. |
|
21.1) Push strap down to
unlock from upholstered cushion. |
|
22.1) Remove strap and set to
side. Removing straps will organize them so they are not lost in moving
upholstered panel. |
|
23.1) Remove rear upholstered
panel and set to side. |
|
24.1) Note slots on back of
upholstered panel for installing straps during the reinstallation process. |
|
25.1) At top edge of side
panel at door jam, gently pry panel from side of vehicle releasing clips. |
|
26.1) With clips from top edge
of side panel released, work your way down front edge of panel releasing
remaining clips. |
|
27.1) Release all remaining
clips along front edge of side panel. |
|
28.1) Behind side window,
gently pry top edge of panel from side of vehicle releasing clips. |
|
29.1) With top back edge of
panel released, grasp rear seat belt strap and work out of slot on panel. |
|
30.1) With rear seat belt
strap out of slot, work down back edge of panel. |
|
31.1) With seat belt strap
free, do not forget to feed strap back up to opening in panel during
reinstallation. |
|
32.1) With all clips released
on side panel, grasp bottom of side panel while pulling top edge of panel
away from side of vehicle. |
|
33.1) Lift panel up to release
two hooks on back bottom of side panel. |
|
34.1) Two hooks on side panel
will have to aligned to reseat into slots at bottom of side of vehicle
when reinstalling. See back of side panel for hooks be reinstalling. |
|
35.1) Remove panel and set to
side. |
|
36.1) Remove screws securing
speaker to side of vehicle.
36.2) Repeat removal instructions for opposite side of vehicle. |
|
37.1) When reinstalling side
panel, align adjustable seat belt nut attachment to hole in panel. |
|
38.1) When reinstalling panel,
pull weather stripping on door jam behind side panel to cover edge of
panel. |
