Honda Civic Car Stereo Removal and Installation

	Honda Civic How to Install, Remove and Replace Car Stereo

	1.1) Remove four screws securing panel.

	2.1) Pull panel forward, disconnect cigarette lighter connector. Removing and reinstalling this panel is a little tricky at the corners where it mates to the upper dash. 2.2) Set panel to side.

	3.1) Remove one or two screws securing car stereo bracket to frame, 7mm.

	4.1) Slide car stereo forward, pushing forward from under car stereo. 4.2) Remove antenna and power connectors.

Honda Civic How to Remove and Replace Front Speaker

1.1) Pull bottom leading edge of grill cover from door panel.

2.1) Remove three screws securing speaker to door panel.
2.2) Twist speaker to remove from back of door panel at top through door panel, remove connector from speaker.

Honda Civic Car Stereo Antenna Removal and Installation
	Broken antenna mast ! 1) Remove two screws securing antenna mast base to roof.

	1) See car stereo removal instructions for removal of left dash panel. 2) Disconnect antenna lead, located at edge of side panel by fuse block. This saves removing the entire stereo. 3) Pull antenna cable free back to opening behind fuse block and trace up to opening. (Remember this spot!)

	1) Pull old antenna and cable from top of car roof. Cut antenna lead and tape new lead to end. 2) Feed new antenna mast into opening while pulling old antenna cable from inside car, (reach back behind fuse block for antenna cable and pull through opening and back to connector.) 3) Push antenna mast completely to car body and tighten two screws. 4) Be sure to lower antenna next time through car wash.

Speaker wire color codes apply for both front and rear speaker installation

There may be some modifications needed when installing an aftermarket speaker. The plastic frame housing the original speaker has a basket protecting the back of the speaker. This may not allow the new speaker to mount into the opening because of the depth restrictions. Remove the plastic frame from door panel. Cut the basket from the back of the frame to allow clearance for the new speaker.

1.1) Remove three 10 mm nuts surrounding speaker securing grill.

21) From back seat, rear deck, remove speaker grill.
2.2)Remove three screws securing speaker to rear deck.
2.3) Lift speaker from rear deck, release triggers connector to disconnect.
2.4) Remove speaker.
