Lincoln Town Car How to Remove Car Stereo and Installation 1.1) Din removal tools. 2.1) Insert Din removal tools into slots at sides of car stereo. 3.1) Pull car stereo from dash. 4.1) Remove antenna and release trigger on connectors to disconnect. Aftermarket Car Stereo Install Metra Kit 99-5802 Metra Wire Harness 70-1771 (Check for your applications) 5.1) Splice Metra and aftermarket car stereo wire harness together. In most cases, wires mate color to color. 6.1) Connect spliced wire harness to factory wire harness. 7.1) Slide sleeve, provided with aftermarket car stereo into kit. 7.2) With flat head screw driver, bend metal tabs along inside edge of sleeve to secure to kit. 8.1) Slide car stereo into kit. NOTE - Pocket on kit goes to top. 9.1) Car stereo locks into place when pushed back into sleeve. 10.1) Connect factory antenna to car stereo. 11.1) Connect aftermarket wire harness to car stereo. NOTE - Now is a good time to test car stereo before installing into dash. 12.1) Tuck all wires back into dash. 13.1) Slide car stereo and kit with pocket up into dash till it snaps into place.

Lincoln Town Car How to Remove Front Speaker 1.1) Roll window down! 1.2) Gently pry leading edge of control panel from arm rest. 2.1) Pull control panel forward to release rear clip. 3.1) Control panel removed. 4.1) Release triggers on connectors to disconnect. Set control panel to side. 5.1) Remove screw from leading edge of door pull handle. 6.1) Remove screw from rear edge of door pull handle. 7.1) Remove door pull handle from door. 8.1) Remove one exposed screw from leading edge of door handle cavity. 9.1) Remove one exposed screw from rear edge of door handle cavity. 10.1) Remove screw from bottom front of door panel. This screw opening may be hard to find. 11.1) Remove screw from bottom rear of door panel. This screw opening may be hard to find. 12.1) Pull bottom of door panel from door releasing clips. 12.2) Work your way across bottom of panel then up both sides releasing all clips. 13.1) Lift back edge of door panel up over door lock and out of window jam. 14.1) Lift leading edge of door panel up out of window jam. 15.1) Reach behind door panel, release triggers on connectors to disconnect. 16.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips and pry from door. 17.1) Install clips onto door panel ready for installation. 18.1) Remove four screws securing speaker to door. 19.1) On this particular Lincoln Town Car, we found two different factory speakers installed. 20.1) Remove speaker from door panel. 21.1) Release connector at speaker. Aftermarket Speaker Install Metra Speaker Adaptor Plates for mounting 6 1/2 inch speakers 82-5600. 22.1) Cut and splice factory speaker wires with a wired extension. 23.1) Mount speaker plates to door, using original speaker screws. 24.1) Connect speaker extension to crossover. 24.2) Connect woofer output to speaker and mount to speaker plate. 25.1) Wire tie crossover to factory wire bundle. We wired to this side of door rather than place crossover into door to protect from any water damage. 26.1) Drill hole into door panel for mounting tweeter. 27.1) Mount tweeter to door and connect to corresponding output on crossover. 27.2) Install door panel.
