Scion Front Speaker Removal and Replacement Scion xB How to Remove and Install Front Speakers 1.1) Remove one screw from door open handle cavity. 2.1) Remove one screw from door hand hold cavity. 3.1) At front edge of door panel, push center pin on panel clip in 1/4 inch to release. 4.1)  Pry or pull panel clip from door panel to remove. 5.1) To reinstall this panel clip, push center pin back through base 1/4 inch. Push clip into opening on door panel then push center pin in, flush with base of clip to lock in place. 6.1) Gently pry leading edge of control panel from arm rest to release clip. 7.1) Pull leading edge of control panel up. 8.1) Pull control panel forward to release rear tab from door panel. 9.1) Remove control panel from door panel. 10.1) Release trigger on side of connector to disconnect. 11.1) To reinstall connector onto control panel, first release clip on side of connector. 12.1) Outer connector sleeve will release and slide back from base of connector. 13.1) Push connector into control panel. 14.1) Push outer sleeve into connector to lock in place. 15.1) Gently pry upper edge of small trim panel at top of door panel to release clip. 16.1) Remove panel and set to side. 17.1) Gently pry rear bottom edge of door panel from door to release clips. 18.1) Work along bottom of door panel and up front and rear edges to release all clips. 19.1) Pull bottom edge of door panel away from door. 20.1) With bottom edge of door panel away from door, be sure door panel will clear over door open handle for next steps. 21.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam followed by front edge of door panel, set pane to side. 22.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips. 23.1) Pry remaining door panel clips from door. 24.1) Slide clip into opening on door panel ready for reinstallation. 25.1) Remove connector from speaker. NOTE - Print these instructions! Speaker is riveted to door. For aftermarket replacement you will need to drill rivets and order spacer rings for installing new speakers. See Speaker Phasing above.
Scion Rear Speaker Removal and Installation Scion xB How to Remove and Replace Rear Speakers 1.1) Release rear seat and push forward. 2.1) Twist rear deck lock to release. 3.1) Twist remaining rear deck locks to release. 4.1) Remove right side rear deck cover. 5.1) Remove left side rear deck cover. 6.1) Remove Styrofoam insert from right side. 7.1) Remove spare tire from left side. 8.1) Remove Styrofoam insert from left side. 9.1) Remove center tab on left clip along back edge of rear trim panel and remove clip. 10.1) Remove center tab on right clip along back edge of rear trim panel and remove clip. 11.1) Pry rear trim panel up to release clips. 12.1) Work your way across panel releasing clips and remove panel. 13.1) Open screw cover and remove 5/16 Allen bolt. 14.1) Open second screw cover and remove 5/16 Allen bolt. 15.1) Remove side cover. This opening can be used in later steps for a hand to help pull panel from side of vehicle. 16.1) From rear door, pry panel up to release clips. 17.1) Remove panel and set to side. Removal of this panel will give several extra inches in later steps for speaker removal. 18.1) From rear of vehicle, use finger hole or larger hole in panel from cover removal in earlier step to pull side panel from vehicle. 19.1) Work you way up edge of panel releasing clips. 20.1) Release all clips along edge of panel. 21.1) From rear door, work your way across top of panel releasing clips. 22.1) From back of vehicle, pull side panel back for access to speaker and remove. See Speaker Phasing above.
