Toyota Celica Removing Front Speaker Toyota Celica Front Speaker Removal 1.1) ROLL WINDOW DOWN. 1.2) Gently pry plastic insert from door handle cavity. 2.1) Remove insert and set to side. NOTE - this piece requires some pressure to snap back into place when reinstalling. 3.1) Remove exposed screw from cavity. 4.1) Gently pry two screw covers from leading edge of door panel. 5.1) Remove two exposed screws after cover removal. 6.1) Gently pry top edge of upper corner panel from door. 7.1) Lift corner panel up to release bottom edge from door panel. 8.1) Remove two screws along bottom edge of door panel. 9.1) Remove one screw from cavity below arm rest. 10.1) Gently pry back edge of door panel from door releasing clips. 11.1) Work your way along bottom edge of door panel then up front and back edges. 12.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam followed by front edge of door panel. 13.1) From opposite side of door, with window down. 14.1) Pull lower cable (White) from locked position and door handle assembly. 14.2) Turn cable to slot at end to release through opening. 15.1) Pull upper cable (Black) from locked position and door handle assembly. 15.2) Turn cable to slot at end to release through opening. 16.1) Two removed cable ends. 17.1) Below door handle assembly, release trigger on connector to disconnect. 18.1) Check door for any door panel clips not removed with door panel. 18.2) Pry door panel clips from door. 19.1) Slide door panel clips back onto door panel, ready for reinstallation. 20.1) Remove one screw securing tweeter and mounting bracket to door. 20.2) Release trigger on connector to disconnect. 21.1) Release trigger on connector at speaker housing to disconnect. 21.2) There are modifications when reinstalling a new speaker. 21.3) Drill rivets from housing and build spacer plate for new speaker.
