Toyota FJ Cruise Front  Speaker Removal and Replacement Toyota FJ Cruiser Front Speaker Removal 1.1) Gently pry screw cover from door open handle cavity. 2.1) Remove exposed screw. 3.1) Clip at leading edge of door panel. 4.1) Gently push center pin on clip in approximately 1/4 inch. 5.1) Gently pry entire clip with base from door panel. 6.1) Removed clip from door panel. 7.1) For reinstallation of this door panel clip, gently push center pin back through base of clip approximately 1/4 inch. 8.1) Place clip back into opening on door panel. 9.1) Push base of clip flush with door panel. 10.1) Push center pin in flush with base of clip to secure into place. 11.1) Gently pry screw cover from under door handle. 12.1) Remove exposed screw. 13.1) Gently pry leading edge of arm rest control panel to release clip. All clips release with pressure. 14.1) Lift leading edge of control panel up. 15.1) Pull control panel forward to release rear latch from door panel arm rest. 16.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect. 17.1) Remove arm rest control panel and set to side. 18.1) Gently pry rear bottom edge of door panel from door releasing clips. 19.1) Work across bottom of door panel releasing all clips. 20.1) Work up front and rear edges of door panel releasing all clips. 21.1) Lift back edge of door panel up out of window jam. 22.1) Followed by lifting front edge of door panel up out of window jam. 23.1) Pull top edge of door panel away from door for access to back of door panel. 24.1) Locate cables, grasp first cable at white end. 25.1) Pull cable away from door panel releasing lock. Cable lock releases with pressure. 26.1) Turn end of cable to release end of cable from lock. 27.1) Remove released cable from door panel. 28.1) Grasp second cable at green end. 29.1) Pull cable away from door panel releasing lock. 30.1) Turn end of cable to release end of cable from lock. 31.1) Remove released cable from door panel. Remove door panel and set to side. NOTE - Repeat this process backwards when reinstalling, White and green end of cable snaps back into lock with pressure. 32.1) Check door for any remaining door panel clips. 33.1) Pry clips from door panel to remove. 34.1) Place clips into slots on door panel ready for reinstallation. 35.1) Release trigger on connector to disconnect. 36.1) Remove screws securing speaker to door panel. NOTE - Print these instructions. You will need and aftermarket "Riser Ring" to install aftermarket speakers.
