Seat Heater Controls Do Not Work
In most cases, the dealership would be happy to replace
this switch at your expense, parts and labor.
If too much pressure is applied to the switch when
activating, this can cause the switch assembly to release from it's lock
and drop down into center console. These instructions will help remove the
center console to either place the switch back into the lock or
replacement.
1.1) Set Parking Brake and shift to low gear.
2.1) Grasp sleeve at bottom of gear shift knob.
3.1) Push sleeve down to
release.
4.1) With needle nose pliers,
grasp "C" clip.
5.1) Remove "C" clip.
6.1) Lift gear shift knob to remove..
7.1) Lift sleeve to remove.
8.1) Place "C" clip back onto gear shift.
9.1) Place sleeve back onto gear shift knob.
10.1) Gear shift knob ready for installation after repair.
11.1) Pry bottom left edge of clock panel from dash
releasing clips. All clips release with pry pressure.
12.1) Pry bottom right edge of clock panel from dash
releasing clips.
13.1) Swing bottom edge of clock panel out. This will
release the top edge.
14.1) Pull clock panel from dash for access.
15.1) Squeeze trigger on connector at clock assembly into
connector to release.
16.1) Remove connector.
17.1) Set clock assembly to side.
18.1) Pry edge of center console at driver's side to
release clips.
19.1) Pry edge of center console at passenger's side to
release clips.
20.1) Pry down driver's and passenger's side of panel
releasing clips.
21.1) Lift center console up.
22.1) Lift center console from dear shift shaft.
23.1) Tilt center console panel to side, locate switch
assembly in center console. Repair or replace and snap back into lock.
24.1) With center console reassembled, gear shift knob
slides down onto shaft and locks in place.

CD's skipping - Two options for DIY repair. 1) Insert CD, seek to last track, seek back to first, repeat several times. Forcing laser to both extremes, this may clean and lubricate sled mechanism. CD's may stop skipping. 2) Try a CD lens cleaner, this may clean dust from laser.
No Display, defective or no CD, display reads Err, unit powers up with no audio, no
display, no power, erratic volume control.
