BOSE and Non-Bose CDM (Tuner) Boxes -Some common problems, stereo unit powers
up, no or distorted audio, no FM, all/some speakers work intermittently, or the system is
dead. If you have snapping and popping from some of the speakers you will have to trouble
shoot. Is it a defective CDM box or Bose amplifier? Swap working speakers/amplifiers with
nonworking speaker/amplifiers to determine if it is the CDM box or Bose amplifiers. CDM

Setting the Clock
Ignition on, stereo off, push the set button. "Set" should appear in the top
right corner of display. Push the "Scan" button up and down for hours and
the "Seek" button up and down for minutes. Push the "Set" button to
disengage or turn your stereo on.
Missing segments or no display, or no display with static*, tape does not work or tape is stuck, AM and/or FM reception week, erratic or scratchy controls, rebuild of entire stereo.

Volume intermittent, volume drops out, comes back when car is restarted for
a short time?
This was an
interesting problem! The stereo is programmed to communicate with the car
computer. (There may be a glitch in the Matrix). Disconnect both main battery
terminals and touch them together. This discharges the system. Reconnect
battery terminals may reset the system. The problem should correct itself.

reception AM and FM. Car stereo will seek but not find stations.
