Many radio codes are available by email if
you have an "HR" and "Min" button on the face of the stereo and NO RDS. All
RDS radios require seeing the dealership. This radio needs to be placed on
the car computer to program the stereo to work in the specific vehicle it is
mounted in. |

Some common problems, stereo unit powers
up, no or distorted audio, no FM, all/some speakers work intermittently, or the system is
dead. If you have snapping and popping from some of the speakers you will have to trouble
shoot. Is it a defective CDM box or Bose amplifier? Swap working speakers/amplifiers with
nonworking speaker/amplifiers to determine if it is the CDM box or Bose amplifiers. CDM
box repair $125. Replacement in rare cases $195 Single channel Bose amplifier repair $80 with lifetime warranty. |

No or defective tape, $150. The factory CDM, (tuner/receiver box) is located in the upper dash between the stereo and steering column in some models. |

Bass, Treb, Bal, and/or Fade do not operate
properly, $125. NOTE - To remove "Clean Tape" from display. Push and hold eject button, insert a cassette, continue holding eject button until display reads "Cleared". Release eject button. Eject tape and reinsert to check.

This was an
interesting problem! The stereo is programmed to communicate with the car
computer. (There may be a glitch in the Matrix). Disconnect both main battery
terminals and touch them together. This discharges the system. Reconnect
battery terminals may reset the system. The problem should correct itself. |

Display remains on with ignition off, drains car battery. Stereo has time display, will not turn on. Tape auto reverses then ejects. Weak channel/s, speakers snap, (usually right front first), crackle, sound blown, distorted or do not work, $145. |

Delco Non-Bose |
Dead or no power. Before repair, check dome light, cigarette lighter and door chime. If one of these are not working properly there is a blown fuse in fuse panel. (We usually find a coin or metal object in the cigarette lighter.) Weak channel, speakers snap, (usually right front first), crackle, sound blown, distorted or do not work. Does not eject tape. Repair rate of these stereos $85-165. Display remains on with ignition off. This may drain the battery. Repair rate for this stereo $95-135.

98 and up |
No output from all or some speakers,
static or hiss from one or more speakers are common problems. We have also seen these
amplifiers have water damage. Because these newer Cadillac Bose stereos an
amplifiers communicate with the car computer, we are presently unable to
bench test or repair. |
