properly, $125. NOTE - To remove "Clean Tape" from
display. Push and hold eject button, insert a cassette, continue holding
eject button until display reads "Cleared". Release eject button. Eject tape
and reinsert to check. |

This was an
interesting problem! The stereo is programmed to communicate with the car
computer. (There may be a glitch in the Matrix). Disconnect both main battery
terminals and touch them together. This discharges the system. Reconnect
battery terminals may reset the system. The problem should correct itself. |

Many radio codes are available by email if
you have an "HR" and "Min" button on the face of the stereo and NO RDS. All
RDS radios require seeing the dealership. This radio needs to be placed on
the car computer to program the stereo to work in the specific vehicle it is
mounted in. |

No tape, tape ejects, or tape auto reverses on it's own. This tape mechanism is made by Blaupunkt. There is a possibility of a broken drive belt, but most cases this a cassette mechanism has sensor problems and badly glazed pinch rollers.
Display remains on with ignition OFF. This may drain the
battery. Repair rate for this stereo, $95-185. |

Dead or no power. Before repair, check dome light, cigarette lighter and door chime. If one of these are not working properly there is a blown fuse in fuse panel. (We usually find a coin or metal object in the cigarette lighter.) Weak channel, speakers snap, (usually right front first), crackle, sound blown, distorted or does not work. Does not eject tape. Repair rate of these stereos $85-165. Display remains on with ignition OFF. This may drain the battery. Repair rate for this stereo $95-135.

No output from all or some speakers,
static or hiss from one or more speakers are common problems. We have also seen these
amplifiers have water damage. Because these newer Cadillac Bose stereos an
amplifiers communicate with the car computer, we are presently unable to
bench test or repair. |

In dash CD changer, will not play CD's, CD's jammed, will not accept or eject CD's. Disconnecting the car battery for several minutes then reconnecting may act as a CD reset and bring the changer back to working condition. The CD changer portion of this car stereo is manufactured by Fujitsu Ten. We are presently looking for a part source that will allow this stereo to be repaired economically. | ||||
