CD changer jammed, will not eject, will not accept, clicking or grinding sound on CD, $295.

Before repair, try disconnecting one of the battery terminals for several minutes then reconnect. This may act as a "Reset" and bring the changer back to working condition. Otherwise, repair is needed.

Many radio codes are available by email if you have an "HR" and "Min" button on the face of the stereo and NO RDS. All RDS radios require seeing the dealership. This radio needs to be placed on the car computer to program the stereo to work in the specific vehicle it is mounted in.

Some common problems, stereo unit powers up, no or distorted audio, no FM, all/some speakers work intermittently, or the system is dead. If you have snapping and popping from some of the speakers you will have to trouble shoot. Is it a defective CDM box or Bose amplifier? Swap working speakers/amplifiers with nonworking speaker/amplifiers to determine if it is the CDM box or Bose amplifiers. CDM box repair $125. Replacement in rare cases $195

Bose amplifier repair $100 with three year warranty.

No tape, tape ejects, or tape auto reverses on it's own. This tape mechanism is made by Blaupunkt. There is a possibility of a broken drive belt, but most cases this a cassette mechanism has sensor problems and badly glazed pinch rollers.

Display remains on with ignition OFF. This may drain the battery. Repair rate for this stereo, $150.

Display remains on with ignition off, drains car battery. Stereo has time display, will not turn on. Tape auto reverses then ejects. Weak channel/s, speakers snap, (usually right front first), crackle, sound blown, distorted or do not work, $150.
How to set clock - ignition on, stereo off, push "Set". Use "Scan" for hours and "Seek" for minutes.

Dead or no power. Before repair, check dome light, cigarette lighter and door chime. If one of these are not working properly there is a blown fuse in fuse panel. (We usually find a coin or metal object in the cigarette lighter.)

Weak channel, speakers snap, (usually right front first), crackle, sound blown, distorted or does not work.

Does not eject tape, repair rate for these stereos, $150.

Display remains on with ignition OFF. This may drain the battery. Repair rate for this stereo $150.

This $150 repair rate is for a rebuild of stereo for all problems with a one year warranty.
