Volume control works
erratically, we suggest a trip to Radio Shack for their Control/Contact
Cleaner. The rheostat on this model is surface mount, removing the knob
allows access to spraying the control. Spray, rotate control and repeat.
We suggest contacting Becker directly for repair. Their
remanufactured exchange rate $150. We can not compete on the repair of this

If you are experiencing radio reception problems, look to the
tuner/controller in the trunk on the drivers side fender well. Speakers
snap, crackle, pop and/or have low or scratchy volume, see 7 channel Bose
amplifier above for W-140, C-140 E 2 error code on radio display. Check fuse panel in trunk for open fuse. |

CD changer usually mates with the next stereo in this list. We have repaired
many of these changers, they may not work when reinstalled in the car, to
return to the shop and work fine. There are two problems with this system,
the CD changer is bad, and a problem we have yet to determine either in the
vehicle or stereo. Please do not send this CD changer for repair. We DO NOT
