PIONEER - Dead, no power, no display, no tape, $175-185. NAKAMICHI - Dead, no power, no display, and/or no tape. We no longer repair this Nakamichi stereo. However, we are in the process of adding a DIY troubleshooting guide to the website. NOTE - Most common problem with Nakamichi audio system with one, two or more speakers not working is defective speakers. Do the tweeters work? Then the amplifier is good. The dealership would be happy to sell you new speakers! See our removal guide for speaker replacement, they include aftermarket speaker installation with modifications. |

Before Thinking of Replacing Amplifier Is it a speaker or Nakamichi amplifier problem? Speaker
problems are common in the Nakamichi system. If your car's tweeter works and
the door speaker
does not, the door speaker is bad. It is always best to check speakers
before removing the amplifier for repair. Try a working speaker in a non-working position
for testing purposes. |
